wow.. means most of the time, u're not sleeping at all..
Apparently, even when I 'fell asleep', it wasn't good-quality
deep sleep. Hence the vivid nightmares and dreams. My
mind wasn't getting any rest at all. It's mostly during REM
that our mind rejuvenates and has a bit of real rest.
My symptoms started in 2002 and over the years, it got worse and
worse. I only decided to get a Sleep Study done because I
feel that I can no longer function well at work, at study, or even
in my private life.
I told the Sleep Disorders Doc that I'm probably overweight
hence the apnoea but she says structurally, my airway and back of
throat would have caused apnoea anyways even if I was skinny.
She also said that from my score, I'm probably so fatigued all the
time... how can I find the energy to exercise at all, which is
precisely what I'm experiencing! It's such a relief to find a
doctor who understands what I'm going through! Everyone else
would just think I'm making excuses or being lazy. Even my
own mom told me that I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.
She's so opinionated I often have to
remind her who's the trained Nurse in the family.
No wonder I appear more and more 'stupid' and
'slow'.
